This is such a wonderful charity, not sure charity being the correct explanation of the gift of anonymous giving.
These individuals who take it upon themselves to provide a smile to someone who is less fortunate is so wonderful.
With unemployment being at 10 percent with a true reality of it being more like 20 percent, so many people this holiday season is struggling beyond hope. Even Seniors like myself who are on disability, are struggling more so this year than in the past. What little bit of income seniors have or what little bit of unemployment benefits, that families are getting, even those whose benefits have ran out and the piggy bank is empty, this year is a struggle for so many people.
Everyone should take a look in their neighborhoods an see if they can help someone who is struggling this holiday season, the old cliche, "its better to give, then to receive."
Secret Santa Suggestions:
Invite a neighbor over for holiday dinner
Buy some toys, wrap them, put them in a bag, drop them off to a neighbor in need, ring the door bell and walk away un-noticed.
Drop off a turkey to your church for donation to a needy family
Bake Pies or holiday cookies and give them to your neighbors in need
Mail a family a small cash donation from Santa
You can be very creative in being a good neighbor and helping the less fortunte this holiday season.
